In 2001, I started a company called The Brooklyn Brothers.
In 15 years, we went from two employees to 150. From one small white-painted office in Chelsea market to four swankier offices in NY, LA, London and Brazil. From revenues of about $27.50 to revenues of about $20 million.
Along the way, I added partners in client service, strategy and digital.
At various times, our client list has included Pepsi, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, NBC, Cablevision, Beam Global Spirits, Remy Martin, New Era, Madison Square Garden, the NHL, Rockstar Games and Jerry Seinfeld.
Effies, Lions, Pencils: you name it, my agency has won it. Including Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year in 2014.
I’ve made films, chocolate bars, furniture, games, content, a children’s book, action figures and yes, commercials.
I’ve tweeted, posted, directed, written and run an art gallery.
My greatest moment was when I was making Ted Lasso for NBC and sitting in Tottenham’s stadium - a place I had been coming to since I was a three year old boy.
In 2016, my partners and I decided to sell the business to IPG for a large-but-not-quite-large-enough amount of money.
